The 240 just get engine oil changed. We have decided to migrate from mineral based oil to semi-synthethis engine oil. For this service, I have to be independent; source out parts by myself and send for an independent mechanic to carry out the job.I got oil filters from Ecco Trading Ipoh (VOLVO parts dealer). I also got washers for engine oil cap and drain plug from them. The engine oil used is the PETRONAS Syntium 800 Semi Synthethic 15W-50. We decided to stick on this brand for coming services. So from now on, I expect oil change to be done every 10,000km, meaning that only twice a year!!

hoho..after this, try to use fully synthetic. Sure nice. And the price? surely and absolutely nice....
ehehehehe....try put the semi one, if no issue, want to do top overhaul in next few years time, then switch to fully synt...wish me luck :)

I'm not dare to suggest any wshop, because Im still in search for one good shop. For oil change, normal shop for temporary will do, but make sure you buy the original parts. Try log on to www.vocm.com.my, we have a big family of volvolians there :)

thanks for your visit..you are still a student?? same as me la if thats true... BTW volvo 240 is much2 cheaper than iswara rite, yeah, 'menang membeli menang memakai, minyak je kalah sikit'... i love this car, rarely (almost never) broke down, just small2 issues......thanks

i just fall in love with Volvo 850 GLT and plan to buy it soon ( this week or next week ).. tested and it quite cheap for me with luxurios package..
240 for me is all season winner, it's cheap, robust, simple, but still a living legend!
possibly after i'm done buy this 850GLT, later i'm thinkin of 240 for my other use..
